Health and Safety Policy Statement
We consider the health, safety and welfare of all employees, contractors and the general public to be of paramount importance. It is our policy to comply with all relevant legislation; in particular the Health and Safety at Work Etc Act 1974 and the Regulations made under it. We:
- Ensure that authority and responsibility for health and safety is clearly defined throughout the executive management chain.
- Plan activities and assess and control risks associated with them so that they can be undertaken safely.
- Consult with employees via staff safety representatives and ensure that adequate arrangements exist for the consultation of relevant external bodies on health and safety issues.
- Provide sufficient information, instruction, training and supervision to enable our staff to improve and contractors to work safely.
- Maintain safe places of work and control risks from equipment and substances.
- Provide and maintain appropriate welfare facilities.
- Monitor, review and improve the performance of systems for managing health and safety.
This policy will be periodically monitored to ensure that the objectives are achieved. It will be reviewed and, if necessary, revised in the light of legislative or organisational changes.
