ISO 14001
Westlakes Scientific Consulting Ltd has been assessed and certified as meeting the requirements of ISO 14001:2004 for the following activities: the provision of contract research and consultancy services
in Environmental and Health Sciences, the organisation of community and outreach events.
Environmental Policy Statement
Westlakes Scientific Consulting is committed to conducting its activities in an environmentally responsible manner taking into consideration the needs of clients, employees and the local community. In order to achieve this we will maintain an Environmental Management System that meets the standards of ISO 14001. We will:
- Assess the nature and scale of our environmental impacts and put in place appropriate measures for controlling them.
- Commit to the continual improvement of our environmental performance and to the prevention of pollution.
- Comply with all relevant environmental legislation and regulations and with codes of practice and client requirements where practicable.
- Set environmental objectives and targets, and monitor and review progress against them.
- Inform our employees of this policy and instruct and train them in its implementation.
- Make this policy available to the public.
This policy will be regularly monitored to ensure that the objectives are achieved. It will be reviewed and, if necessary, revised in the light of legislative or organisational changes.
