By road (from Penrith): From junction 40 of the M6 join the A66 West towards Workington. Continue for about 30 miles, past Keswick to the Cockermouth roundabout with the Sheep and Wool Centre on your left. Take the third exit from this roundabout, still on the A66. At the next roundabout take the second exit, signposted Carlisle A595. At the next roundabout take the first exit, signposted Maryport A594 and continue along this road for approximately 2.5 miles. Dovenby Hall Estate main entrance is on your left hand side.
By road (from Carlisle): Follow the A595 to Cockermouth. At the first roundabout take the third exit, signposted Maryport A594 and continue along this road for approximately 2.5 miles. Dovenby Hall Estate main entrance is on your left hand side.
By road (from Workington / Whitehaven): Follow the A66 to Cockermouth. At the first roundabout take the first exit, signposted Carlisle A595. At the next roundabout take the first exit, signposted Maryport A594 and continue along this road for approximately 2.5 miles. Dovenby Hall Estate main entrance is on your left hand side.
By road (from Egremont and Cleator Moor): Take the A5086 to the Cockermouth roundabout (the Sheep and Wool Centre will be on your right). Take the second exit from this roundabout onto the A66. At the next roundabout take the second exit, signposted Carlisle A595. At the next roundabout take the first exit, signposted Maryport A594 and continue along this road for approximately 2.5 miles. Dovenby Hall Estate main entrance is on your left hand side.
By road (from Maryport): Take the A594 through Dearham towards Cockermouth for about four miles. Dovenby Hall Estate main entrance is on your right hand side.
Directions to Westlakes Science & Technology Park
By road (from the south): If you are journeying from the south to Westlakes, you should leave the M6 motorway at junction 40 and take the A66 west past Keswick and Cockermouth. Then take the A595 south until you are approximately two and a half miles south of Whitehaven, where the entrance to Westlakes is clearly sign posted on the left of the road.
By road (from the north): If you are traveling to Westlakes from the north, we suggest that you leave the M6 motorway at junction 43 and journey on the A595 from Carlisle. Progress south, by-pass Cockermouth, Workington and Whitehaven until you reach Westlakes which is clearly sign posted on the left of the road, approximately two and half miles south of Whitehaven.
By rail: We recommend making your way to Whitehaven Railway Station. From there we are a ten minute taxi ride away.

On leaving the A595 onto the Science Park take the second left at the roundabout signed Ingwell Drive. The Princess Royal Building is the first building on the right hand side. Parking is available to the front and rear of the building.
Directions to the Westlakes Research Institute Building

On leaving the A595 onto the science park take the first left at the roundabout signed Crow Park Way. Take the first right and continue until you reach a T-junction, turn left and the Research Institute appears on your left hand side. Parking is available to the rear and on both sides of the building.
