Kevin graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from Newcastle University. Kevin joined the department in 2003, following previous employment at BNFL where he performed environmental radionuclide analysis.

His area of research is radiosensitivity and its relationship with radiological protection and cancer predisposition. Kevin is soon to complete a part time MSc (by research) with UClan for which this work forms the basis. Kevin’s current project, funded by the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, is redefining the dose response for low LET radiation exposure, which involves studying chromosome aberrations in radiation workers using the sFISH method.
