Genetics and Epidemiology

The WSC-UCLan Epidemiology and Genetics team has a distinguished and proven track record in carrying out epidemiological and genetics studies to the highest scientific standards which includes obtaining appropriate individual consents and ethics and stakeholder clearances.  We are currently looking to build on our existing expertise in assessment of the risks of ionising radiation and its biological basis by diversifying into related areas of research.  Our expertise includes cytogenetics, molecular genetics, statistical analysis of epidemiological data, internal dosimetry, database management and data management.  All our research adheres to good laboratory and good epidemiological practice.  We currently carry out research for national and international government departments, charitable trusts and industry.
