| Environmental Science - Air Pollution Assessments |
| |
| The Air Pollution Group currently conducts consultancy projects and commercial research work in the following fields: |
| |
| Industrial Assessments: |
- Modelling studies using NRPB R91, ADMS or AERMOD in support of regulatory applications.
- Complex modelling using Heavy Gas models, CFD and wind tunnel models to assess specific problems (e.g. Fugitive emissions or accidental fires).
- Ambient monitoring, particle sampling, stack monitoring.

| Urban Assessments: |
- Regional scale modelling using the Airviro Air Quality Management System.
- Emission Inventory compilation for multiple sources including road traffic.
- Fine scale modelling at specific pollution hotspots using canyon models and CFD

| Agricultural Assessments: |
- Determination of emission rates using model back calculation techniques.
- Regional pollution assessments and determination of critical load exceedences.
