COWAM In Practice (CIP) UK National Stakeholder Group

COWAM In Practice (CIP), is a three year project (2007-2009) which builds on the previous Euratom-supported projects of COWAM1 and COWAM2. COWAM In Practice aims to promote co-operative research on governance of radioactive waste management through direct assessment by participating stakeholders in Five Member States (France, UK, Romania, Slovenia and Spain).

The UK National Stakeholder Group is chaired by Fred Barker, Chair for Nuclear Legacy Advisory Forum (NuLeAF), and facilitated by Westlakes Scientific Consulting Ltd.

The UK National Stakeholder Group’s kick off meeting was held on 19th July 2007 and the second meeting was on 5th February 2008. There will be a further three meetings of the group in the following two years. The reports of these meetings are provided below.

Further information on the COWAM In Practice project is on the main European webpage: http://www.cowam.com
