BNFL Worker Studies
The BNFL worker studies were set up during the late 1979s to statistically study the potential links between the mortality and cancer incidence patterns of BNFL workers and their occupational exposures to radiation. These studies continue with more of a focus on exposures to internal radionuclides, such as plutonium, rather than external radiation doses. For convenience these studies are separated into those relating to:-
- Cancer Incidence
- Cancer Mortality
- Non-Cancer Mortality
The recent publication on BNFL worker non-cancer mortality experience is given in and further information about these studies can be found in the publication list.
